Machu Picchu may be one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, but the “Lost City of the Incas” is only one of more than a dozen sacred sites to be visited on a group tour of Peru recently announced by Sacred Earth Journeys.
The tour leader, Puma Quispe Singona, is an Andean medicine man, healer and wisdom keeper. He will conduct ceremonies at spiritual sites and sacred temples so participants may experience a positive inner transformation as well as discovering the fascinating architecture, culture and traditions of Peru. He is an accredited Inca Trail Guide and a member of the international World Wisdom Council of indigenous people .
In addition to two full days at Machu Picchu, the group will visit the Sacred Valley, Cusco and Lake Titicaca. In Puma’s home village of Chinchero, two other healing practitioners, Q’ero Master Don Sebastian and medicine woman Mama Irene, will share ancient wisdom and practices that participants can apply to their lives back home. Up on the mountain at Machu Picchu, powerful energies will assist Puma as he conducts a heart-opening ceremony. An optional Andean medicinal potion, Wachuma (San Pedro), will also be available. In Lake Titicaca, there will be an excursion to floating islands and treks to ancient Inca and Tiwanaku temples.
Along with the spiritual experiences, the group will also have fun time to go shopping for handcrafted treasures in colorful markets, meeting friendly locals, hiking up and down photogenic trails, sampling traditional cuisine and enjoying the companionship of like-minded travelers.
The 11-day “Heart of the Pachamama” tour runs October 2 – 12, 2015, and Sacred Earth Journeys president, Helen Tomei, recommends early registration as their small-group programs may fill quickly.
“Pachamama is the Andean Mother Earth goddess,” Helen said. “This tour is designed to be a heart-opening journey to stimulate healing, happiness and personal growth by tapping into ancient traditions and the powerful energies of sacred sites.”
